On the other hand , after being disgusted by problems with the technical dimensions of sound recording of a particular piece , and even after remembering the frustrations and sickening effects of listening to an undesirable sound accumulation during mixing; years later those problems seem nonexistent. I suspect there might be a gothic element to our perception of sound ; in that the world might appear bright or dark , sinister or confidence inspiring , depending on which details are brought to the attention.

to force a feeling of adequacy

there are engineers (is an engineer) who mind their own business and are willing to work for next to nothing , keep one ear on what's going on and when something happens listen attentively , set up mic configurations or a preamp. since one of those people isn't around i try to set up such an individual myself ; a sort of other self enabling the process in readiness , accessibility and ease of use.
