lightness and frivolity

-not meaning to wax political since this is almost exclusively a sound design and urban planning blog; the chart reminded me of the soundhack compressor +compand with its look , anyway. No conclusions.

It appears that much of what is happening , or the reason for a lack of happening is attributable to the idea of appropriation; taking something that is someone else's or is readily available to the public and signing it or representing it . Like any instrument that can be played elegantly or fairly or horribly:

Then the dead men fouled the scuppers and the wounded filled the chains
And the paintwork was all splatterdashed with other people's brains.

She was boarded, she was looted, she was scuttled till she sank
And the pale survivors left us by the medium of the plank.

That was from a pirate poem , I don't know who wrote it.

This weekend I went to Walgreens and purchased a vanity lightbulb and some socks. I was impressed by their beach thong display. Most puzzling was when I was ready to replace the burnt out vanity light it had come back to life ( in a manner of speaking) or had been replaced without my knowledge or consent (unlikely).

Last weekend I conversed with two individuals from approvecho and though it isn't very exciting in words , I find the approach to sustainable ecosystems most appealing. Some of their internships also offer college credit.

I am interested in the idea of a world class recording studio powered by renewable energy sources and making some use of recycled materials (rubbish).
