  The pages aren't quite in order, I sometimes read that method. These have taught me more about YMO than practically anything else, or at least more about something. I suspect it may be more true to the way the individuals attempted successfully to portray themselves as a techno music entity.

   I hadn't noticed the intention to cause uneasiness while performing, thought it just happened naturally. Perhaps that is gothic in a possibly eastern sort of way, and perhaps an eastern view of negative states of being ( darkness , hell , tension , despair) is key in understanding gothic music. What makes gothic rock essential is that the tension and despair is shown to be fake , an illusion , and the grooves are made up rather than copied or emulated. This is superior to playing a milder form of music until the tension and despair become real.

  Playing a YMO song for a friend of mine after they had become safely popular, he remarked that it was probably Clan Of Xymox on the stereo.

  I once considered early Xymox soundscapes to be an  outcome of twelve bit sampling, the sound of the instruments determined the context of the album. I now have different ideas, or he same ideas wizened perhaps: It wasn't just 12 bit sampling , it was also analogue resolution . Nowadays it isn't just higher resolution digital recordings , it is often limited bit rate given breathing room. Is that possible? well, soft synthesizers are often limited bitrate output , and our hardware input converters might be limited ; the point , essentially is to say , or play the phrase , to express something , and have that not just the only thing 

 Unlike Xymox, or Clan of Xymox, YMO had at least at the beginning an overtly political stance. I've tried to empower the Lumpenproletariat , if there is such a thing: I suspect there might be,yet bulked at presenting such a concert to the world ; partly because the line 'women always cost me money…' might be perceived as sexist. I've given it closer consideration, and concluded , almost , that males are usually the moneymakers in society , and that those women who are have no need of me. That is , taking into consideration that I am a member of the Lumpenproletariat , which I'm not ; just pretending to be one in order not to appear superior to my audience , there's a fine line here in appearing just superior enough to be able to help, though what I am helping is a category largely imaginary and possibly doesn't exist.

   I'd like to know more how Medusa was created. What I imagine :

  The deal is , with the drama , the tension . It is , in homeopathic terms , the same opposition you feel when listening to something ( for example) serene or sedate; you might say something bold, ridiculous or superficially inappropriate. They did it for real.

And less media ( this is where the persons I like best walk out?) . Just writing the lyric perhaps , and executing as sonly , cleanly as feasible . This overcomes the need to destroy our fellow human beings perhaps. It is ironic maybe that those so prominent in media devour  much less of it themselves.
