microcassette 3

excuse me please for being the world's worst disk jockey.

(of course now you aren't going to excuse me; the way I was brought up has something to do with it, can't be other than what I am. )

This is a microcassette I've been listening with great pleasure and the transfer is luxurious enough to forfeit shame.

Some of the songs are from a probably never to be released audio dvd ' White Supremist' ; there is only one dvd-r disc so far.

Many of these songs later had overdubs, the realization of focussed voice together with the initial impulse.

-making transfers of compositions recorded without operating a computer (o.k. minidisc recorders have a small microprocessor yet it can mostly be ignored and it doesn't object) .

Nothing against computers- marvelous machines really ; it's nice to get away from frowning trying to find the cursor in order to save the file ( 'curser?' I wonder if 'fil' is related to 'filial' for brother , I 'll consider research- those dictionary makers don't know everything- that's why it's a living language, though they know quite a bit ) .

track listing

'Please ,miss sunup'

(you won't notice this is the second time I've said please in this article ) is a song about performing and duking it out with guys for various reasons and meeting the most amazing amazonial women and not knowing what to do with them and later realizing that I might have inspired them though they are not in love with me , perhaps in love with something they imagined.

I hope you realize I love you - this is why I explain such things.

It means nothing to me

The doer and the socialite

( in between the proper songs are 'advertisements' for other tracks. I didn't plan to advertise.)

Violin mantra

A little violin playing reaches far; another of those songs that might sound better with a girl or two singing- doesn't everything?

I've read of the superiority of calfskin heads in places like tape-op magazine. I usually thought of a professional , or established pseudo-professional with a mic'ed ludwig drum-set or similar and that person not resorting to mylar drum heads. I'd never thought of my drums from sri-lanka ( formerly ceylon ) and west africa and that I might have some kind of kinship with he people who made them.

Everybody isn't the same

It's concerned with those instantaneous revelations while walking up the street and encountering total strangers and figuring out why they are not total strangers. -well, it's about more than that: there is a reason I write text instead of composing songs.

Too much rot

This reminds of a floorshow , a vamp - almost like 'The brazilian girls' or other recording acts I rather despise; though I adore and respect actual brazilian girls and admire some people who like the recording act. It's a song basically about how it's easy to lose one's highest aspirations.

instrumental composition

The overdub said something about pictures of frogspawn.

There's an expert from a drum and bass composition which I could find the original completeness eventually.

More goatskins. Shoddy: it's a song about someone who initiates everything of importance and therefore is deprecated , ignored.

This is a song which shares the same basic riff ;note wise though perhaps not harmonically - as ' My Pagan Ass' by Brain Donor and 'There's Only One Way' (to rock ) by Sammy Hagar.

I once thought Sammy Hagar was lame , I still think 'Heavy Metal ' that way.

( like the snare drum in this one…)

(Something about northern germany. Borgwaards were manufactured in Bremen : I've actually sort of lived there - very-amazing place with some very nice people.

This is a setting for a psalm from the anglican prayer book; I don't try to get too churchy , or replace the established church: I'm more interested in "psychic automatism inspired by divine will " to quote André Breton, though the translation of the Surrealist Manifesto you might have read in an art history book probably glossed over that phrase.

-this was slowed down to half-speed in the original recording; I imagine it sounds like early church harmoniums that way.

(takes a lot of wind power)

This song about 'Yes , my girlfriend, No , my girlfriend' , well you can imagine what that's about.

auto obsession

it is powered by a V10 , which runs on biofuel as well as standard ( premium ) gasoline .

the engine design is similar to one built by audi , it is tooled to a higher standard , to the point where fewer gaskets are required , and parts fit together and create seals making for a lighter more efficient mechanism .

the auto is quite lightweight overall,
and more manual than most high performance sports cars . i am thinking a manual transmission and almost retro nostalgic styling for the inside . more minimal and firmer than most car interiors.

the sound system has knobs .

there are few gimmicks : i am thinking horn loaded speakers which project outward to the street through the wheel well/ side panel compartments , and a sub woofer which emanates from underneath the trunk .

there is adequate trunk space and perhaps two gasoline tanks plus a spare tire .

probably white walls or amber walls .

i'm thinking twin superchargers, a quite robust electrical system .

_

-scanned drawings of this above mentioned automobile, the decent looking profile didn't turn
out (note example 3 ) and i may leave it that way or rescan ; deepening on how i feel about someone using my design , derivative as it may be.

-also wrote an essay on the future of automobiles and enviro-friendliness for "http:/iitstimeforhope.com" ; discovered i was about a year late and the winners had been announced. just for the sake of comparison here is my essay:

i am inspired by recent developments in the automotive industry , or at least 2 or 3 different marques .

Volkswagen AG is always amazing in their pioneering engineering using biofuels and increasing fuel efficiency.

Most conspicuous is the Bentley line and its models being easily adaptable to consume bio gasoline with no loss in performance. More bizarrely , and probably never made available in the united states, is the diesel V12 Audi R8 which is supposed to emit no toxins to the atmosphere . How they do it is another story , and I can almost hear the tasteless jokes without speaking with any mechanics . It looks like they use some kind of catalytic converter with urea in the exhaust system ; don't ask where that comes from .

One car that might astound me if I ever see one on the street is the Lamborghini Estoque hybrid . It may only be a rumor and I'm really wondering where the gasoline and electric engines are situated on the chassis and how the drive trains, transmission will function . It seems innovative that the manufacturer is planning on marketing a four door family car based on cabin space and function after a history of producing cars where the engine, the top speed was the central design criterion; everything else being subsequent .

I really should contact them with my colour choices , don't know any Volkswagen AG designers , so if you see any please try to describe a deep glossy lime green - the darkest shade you could make it and still call it lime, then what could be called 'mother of pearl' , an off white with hints of grey and hot pink; also very glossy.
A dark charcoal gray with a warm copperish brown tint , it might be called gunmetal though it is flatter more utilitarian than the shade used by the other famous italian car manufacturer whose name it is a sacrilege to mention in the same paragraph as its associated rival and whose praise I shall sing shortly. Finally a medium blue with a hint of grey and periwinkle.

Of course all the colours mentioned above are similar to other manufacturer's choices of colours, there is a difference in the intensity , the daring use of colour which generally doesn't appear on the outside of automobiles. It matters to me , even if a person isn't affluent enough to afford a new automobile , one might be inspired by a different tone and view the world in a different light .

More inspiring to me even than the use and increasing cost effectiveness of bio-fuels is the entire process of car manufacture and who owns the factory .

Several Italian cities have essentially socialist government and some of the car factories are owned by the workers , this eliminates the need to pay managers who demand high salaries and makes it possible to offer a very high standard of product at a price that is viable in today's market .

I'm impressed not only by Maserati's high aesthetic and engineering standards and the ability to fuse working class practice with the needs and tastes of wealthy capitalists; I admire their successes in producing fuel efficient engines . Although a 4.2 or .7 liter V8 may burn a large amount of petrol (actually gas mileage is respectable taking into consideration the horsepower ) the engines operate efficiently through conventional means ( fine mechanical tolerances , carefully machined parts ) and the result is very low emissions of toxic chemicals into the atmosphere . I also like the idea of a car which has high resale value and is driven for appropriate reasons .

Maserati is inspiring in that their choices of colours are mostly , or entirely sky colours , anyone may posses the sky , it is a matter of looking upwards. Not anyone is able to arrive in style . The interior colours are terra firma, beach and land.

optical transfer

making an optical transfer from a computer to a minidisc . This is more involved than describing it; try it , it's fussy.

There's also the matter of having a song to play , you don't want to forget that .

Transfers which are entirely numbers, which don't involve any analogue coloration or room ambience often have a result of being very constricting , sometimes almost sickening to my senses. There is also a liberation which is possible when one breaks out at the end ( like leaving a tunnel ) and returns to the atmosphere .

I also noticed that when I was running the sequence there was a message stating that the midi output did not synchronize with the clocking of an external device . I was probably sending midi data to the optical output built into the computer , and the message vanished when I switched that output to the sound card . - wondering if there are devices which receive midi via optical input and whether midi is still really midi spec or higher resolution , closer timing .
